Dr. Ramy Sabe is a Pediatric Gastroenterologist who graduated from Ain Shams University in Cairo, Egypt in 2006. He completed his Pediatrics residency in 2013 at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, Elmhurst Hospital Center program in New York. He then moved to Ohio to complete his Pediatric Gastroenterology fellowship in 2016 at the UH Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital/Case Western Reserve University program. He is a faculty member at UH Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital and an Associate Professor of Pediatrics at the Case Western Reserve University. His areas of interest include pediatric endoscopy with specific interest in unsedated transnasal endoscopy (TNE), aerodigestive diseases, and eosinophilic gastrointestinal disorders, and is a member of the North American Society of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition endoscopy & procedures committee, TNE special interest group (SIG) and aerodigestive SIG. He was among the early endoscopists to start an unsedated transnasal endoscopy program in children and young adults in the United States. Dr. Sabe enjoys family time, watching and playing football (AKA soccer), meditation and Egyptian food!

Dr. Salazar is a Peruvian pediatrician educated at the Cayetano Heredia University. He worked for more than 30 years in the Pediatrics Department of the Cayetano Heredia Hospital; he was Chief of Service and then Chief of Department until he retired. He taught pediatrics for 30 years, being first assistant professor, then associate professor, and finally senior professor until he retired. He has served the Peruvian Ministry of Health in several occasions. He played an essential role in designing and implementing the Oral Rehydration Program. He was in charge of designing and implementing the Maternal and Child Insurance that later became SIS. He was mainly responsible for organizing and implementing Peru's response to the 1991 cholera epidemic. Throughout his career, he has had intense scientific activity, developing numerous clinical, microbiological, and epidemiological studies that have resulted in more than 50 publications in high-impact indexed medical journals. He has received several awards and distinctions, including the 2004 Abraham Horwitz Prize from the Pan American Health Organization for controlling the cholera epidemic in Peru and Latin America. He was the first Peruvian physician to obtain this prestigious award. He is a member of several medical and scientific organizations in Peru and abroad.
