Alexandra Papadopoulou is Head of the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology of the First Department of Pediatrics of the University of Athens at the Athens Children's Hospital "Agia Sofia". She specialized in Pediatric Gastroenterology at the University of Birmingham, UK and she has a MD from the same University. She has been a member of ESPGHAN since 1998, on whose behalf she has organized numerous summer schools and postgraduate courses, as well as the 49th Annual Meeting of ESPGHAN in Athens. She has served as Education Secretary of the ESPGHAN Gastroenterology Committee (2012-2017), ESPGHAN Public Affairs Committee (2013-2015), ESPGHAN National Societies Executive Committee (2015-2017), ESPGHAN Council (2015-2016), and is currently the Chair of ESPGHAN EGID WG and a member of the Core Group of ESPGHAN Endoscopy SIG. Over the past decade, she has co-authored numerous ESPGHAN guidelines and position papers. In Greece, she is a member of the National Nutrition Committee of the Hellenic Ministry of Health and a member of the Committee for Subspecialty in PGHN, while from 2017-2019, she was a member of the Committee of the Central Health Council of the Hellenic Ministry of Health for Pediatric Specialization and Pediatric Subspecialties.

Dr. Nitida Pastor is currently working as Medical Affairs IFCN Director for Europe in Reckitt. She is a Pharmacist and Cum Laude in Pediatrics by the Autonomous Medicine University of Madrid. She achieved an MBA from IE Business School, Madrid, and Health Economics from the University of York, UK. She has directed and mentored more than 60 health projects and developed young PhD students. Her expertise has been shown in international seminars and congresses. Her focus is on nutrition, nutraceuticals, and children’s development (i.e., Omega 3, DHA, Immunity, Allergy, Healthy growth, Phytonutrients). Recently, she published her third book “5 nutrients to improve viral infections”. Her second book, under the Editorial of the University of Granada, now running 2nd edition, about the “Popular and Scientific use of Medicinal herbs to manage the stress” is linked with a study on how MBA students and entrepreneurs respond to overdemanding periods, and how nutrition and herbs can contribute to keep the balance. The first edition was the bestseller in the University editorials in 2015. Dr Pastor is also a Mentor through Mentoring Spain and the IE Business School, Spain, and Imperial College, London, UK.
