A/Prof Seana Gall is a senior research fellow in cardiovascular epidemiology at the Menzies Institute for Medical Research at the University of Tasmania. She conducts epidemiological studies to understand ways to prevent, manage and improve outcomes of stroke. She has published over 120 journal articles and has attracted over $12 million in funding for her research including current funding as a National Heart Foundation of Australia Future Leader Fellow and lead investigator for the NHMRC Synergy Grant – Synergies to Prevent Stroke (STOPstroke). She is an active member of the scientific community including as chair of the Tasmanian Government’s Tobacco Control Coalition, chair of the Stroke Foundation’s Stroke Prevention committee and member of the Australian Cardiovascular Alliance Mission for Cardiovascular Health Clinical Trials Flagship advisory group.

I am a Professor of Physiotherapy working in Christian Medical College and Hospital, Ludhiana, India, serving those with Neurological illness. Stroke is my field of expertise and passion. I head a small team of Neurophysiotherapists at our institute and am a telerehabilitation consultant. My research journey began almost a decade ago and it has been an exciting journey. Currently I also am part of the Lancet Commission (Technology in rehab workstream), Lancet Neurology Commission (Stroke Rehab Pillar), Project Officer for building capacity among stroke rehab professionals in South East Asia in collaboration with World Health Organization (SEAR) and the founder of the 'Global Consortium of Stroke Rehabilitation'.The consortium is currently working towards developing context and region specific Clinical Practice Guidelines for Stroke rehabilitation in Low-and-Middle-Income-Countries (LMICs)
I work with Bio-engineers from India in designing and use of low-cost rehabilitation robotics and equipment in addition to academic responsibilities. Making stroke rehabilitation accessible, affordable and evidence-based in LMICs is something my team works towards.

Dr. Geed is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine, at the Georgetown University Medical Center in Washington, DC, USA. Her research focuses on upper extremity motor function recovery after stroke. Specifically, she studies how the interaction between a brain state and behavioral experience drive post-stroke critical period neuroplasticity. A second research interest is towards improving the measurement of behavioral change after stroke using wearable technologies and statistical modeling.
