Milena Jankovic, PhD, is a head of Laboratory for Molecular and Genetic Diagnostic of Neurological Disorders at the Neurology Clinic of Serbian University Clinical Center. She is a genetic specialist and researcher internationally recognized in the field of stroke, neurodegenerative, neuromuscular and movement disorders. Milena has more than 10 year experience in neurogenetics with special research interest in the genetic variants underlying neurological diseases as possible therapeutic targets. She is a member of national and international genetic, neurological and neuroscience societies, and author or co-author of significant number of refereed publications.

Clay Johnston is the Co-Founder and Chief Medical Officer of Harbor Health, a new vertically integrated health delivery system, and Adjunct Professor of Neurology at the University of California, San Francisco. From 2014 to 2021, he was the inaugural Dean of the Dell Medical School at The University of Texas at Austin. Clay is also a Neurologist and epidemiologist, specializing in stroke care and research. He was formerly at the University of California, San Francisco where he served as Associate Vice Chancellor of Research and founding director of the Center for Healthcare Value. Clay is a graduate of Amherst College, completed medical school at Harvard University and received a PhD in epidemiology from the University of California, Berkeley. He is a member of the National Academy of Medicine.

Dr. Jovin is a Professor of Neurology and Neurosurgery at the Cooper Medical School of Rowan University and serves as Director of the Cooper Neurological Institute and Chair, Department of Neurology at Cooper University Healthcare in Camden, New Jersey. He is an expert in interventional and non-interventional treatments of the entire spectrum of cerebrovascular disorders, including ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke. He has served as principal investigator for several international clinical studies including REVASCAT, DAWN and BAOCHE, studies that are considered landmark developments in the treatment for acute stroke and have contributed to changes in guidelines for treatment of acute stroke patients. Dr. Jovin has published more than 400 articles in peer-reviewed journals. He is a past president of the Society of Vascular and Interventional Neurology and currently serves as Chair of the American Heart Association’s International Stroke Conference Program Committee.

Dr Maria Khan Junaidi is Specialist Neurologist at Rashid Hospital in Dubai, UAE. She has graduated from the Aga Khan University Medical College, Pakistan in 2001. After completing her training in neurology, she went on to do fellowships in Vascular neurology and Cerebrovascular translational Research. She has a Masters in Epidemiology and Biostatistics from the Aga Khan University where she graduated with high honors. Dr Junaidi has over 50 published articles in leading international journals and has frequently presented at international and regional conferences. She is participating in on-going multi-centered and cross-sectional studies and has been granted funds for previous research in stoke outcome and stroke prevalence. Her main research interests are stroke in women and cerebral venous thrombosis. She is a founding member of MENA Stroke Organization and in recent years has been working to improve stroke services in the MENA region.
