I am a nurse practitioner since 2011. I work at the pain center at the Rijnstate Hospital in the Netherlands. My specialty is Neuromodulation for chronic pain and I have expertise in all different therapies with all different waveforms and programming software. Clinical research is also one of my important acitvities and I started my PhD in 2022. My main focus in research now is the psychological factors and possible predictive value in the effect of neuromodulation. Together with other nurses and the INS team I organized the first european nurse workshop for the INS congress which we made a recurring event also this year and for the future!

Master of Science 2016: implementation of a system for continuous monitoring of oxygen saturation at an orthopedic ward and impact on opioid consumption in acute pain after fusion surgery. Worked as a professional development nurse postoperative ward from 2011 to 2018 and then as a research coordinator at the Department of Pain and Research at Oslo University Hospital. Neuromodulation nurse programmer since 2018. Ph.D. start in the spring of 2022: Research in regards to neuromodulation registries and on the implementation of a physical rehabilitation program after implantation of SCS-systems.

Sam Eldabe is a senior consultant in Pain Management at The James Cook University Hospital Middlesbrough and Medecin Chef at Hôpital de Morges Switzerland and Honorary Professor of Pain Medicine at the University of Durham and Warwick Medical, School. His main interest in chronic pain management is neuromodulation for the management of pain and spasticity. He is the author of more than 120 papers in the area of pain management and neuromodulation. His department holds a number of European and NIHR UK grants. His current research interests include the use of neuromodulation for the rehabilitation of back pain sufferers, spinal cord stimulation for refractory angina as well as the utility of screening trials in spinal cord stimulation.
