Harold Nijhuis, MD is currently a practicing anesthesiologist/painspecialist at the St. Antonius Hospital in Nieuwegein, The Netherlands. The pain department in the St. Antonius Hospital is one of the biggest pain treatment centers in The Netherlands. Dr. Nijhuis has a vast experience offering various pain treatment options including intrathecal drug delivery pumps and spinal cord stimulation. He is author and co-author of chapters in textbooks and published articles in peer reviewed journals. He is also a reviewer for Neuromodulation. Dr. Nijhuis has served as faculty, moderator and presenter on many subjects at national and international meetings. He has been a board member of the Benelux Neuromodulation Society, board member of the painsection of the Dutch Society of Anesthesiology, board member of the Dutch Society of Neuromodulation and member of the International Association for the Study of Pain.
