I am a specialist nurse in chronic pain and spinal cord stimulation and have worked at the Manchester and Salford pain centre for over 10 years. I had a background in critical care and theatre recovery before i joined the pain team. I have a masters in nursing research and i am also a non-medical prescriber . I run follow up Spinal cord stimulator clinics, medication review clinics and work alongside my physio colleagues in the pain centre assessing patients in new patient clinics. My role within the Specialist neuromodulation nurses & associated professionals group (SNNAP) is as deputy education lead, in a supportive role to facilitate learning for neuromodulation nurses and AHP's. I have presented with SNNAP colleagues at the recent Neuromodulation Society for United Kingdom and Ireland (Nsuki) meeting in Newcastle and I have been to to INS Australia, where we presented patient outcomes in the form of a poster presentation.
