Björn Carsten Schultheis MD graduaded as Doctor in Medicine at the University of Aachen and finished his thesis at the Institute for Research in Traumasurgery and Biomechanics in Ulm. He is a certified Anesthesiolegist and Intensive care specialist since 2002 and Diplomate of the European Society of Anesthesiology. Dr. Schultheis holds postgraduate Training certificates in interventional Paintherapy, Acupuncture, Palliative Care Medicine and Hyperbaric Medecine among others. From 2003-2014 he worked at the university Hospital of La Laguna on the Canary Islands. Since his return to Germany in 2013 he dedicates his time solely to interventional paintherapy and neuromodulation. He is the Head oft he Department for interventional Painmanagement at the hospital in Neuwerk in Mönchengladbach in Germany. He is the principle Investigator and coauthor of several publications and is instructor for interventional painmanagement at the IGOST.

Colette Schulz Pain Nurse Bergisch Gladbach, Germany Frau.schulz247@gmail.com Qualitylife4u Neuromodulation, non medical paintherapy, Education and support at hospital funktional neurosergery I worked from 1997-2016 at intensiv care unit at a hospital at cologne germany. After that i switched at the same house into the ambulance of stereotaxy an functional neurosergery as a pain nurse. I had my continuin education at nurnberg. Since than i work 3 days the week at hospital part time. Some of my tasks are wound dressing, pain medication before and after surgery, education in therms of scs in everyday life, documentation, monitoring at or etc. Since 2021 i startet beside my hospital work as freelancer. On day the week i have my own practise for patient with cronicle pain. I also teach at nursing school, how to work with cronicle pain patient. Iam a speaker and leader of 2 Pain support group and built a community for pain nurses at linked in to show pain nurses the fields they can work with their expertise.

Psychiatry
I am a Research Scientist in the Department of Psychiatry at Columbia University Irving Medical Center (CUIMC), and director of electrophysiology laboratory in the division of Experimental Therapeutics. I am trained as a medical doctor and a scientist and am a Principal Investigator and Co-Investigator in a number of federally funded grants. The focus of the work in our division is to understand and characterize the dysregulation of neurocognitive mechanisms in psychiatric disorders and to study and develop novel therapeutic approaches with the goal of achieving amelioration of function. Within this context, my research, in particular focuses on understanding sensory and perceptual deficits and their implications for higher level cognitive dysfunction, with an emphasis on psychotic disorders such as schizophrenia, work which has been published in high impact journals. In so doing, over the past two decades, I have used multiple methods, including human intracranial recordings, scalp-based EEGs, functional MRI, computational modelling, and cognitive tests, in conjunction with methods employing brain stimulation and neuropharmacology. At present, I am working on a project which studies the modulatory effects of transcranial electrical stimulation (tES) on brain network interactions and their relationship with improvement in functional outcomes and therapeutic mechanisms in schizophrenia.

Konstantin Slavin, MD, FAANS is Professor, Chief of Section and Fellowship Director for Stereotactic and Functional Neurosurgery in the Department of Neurosurgery at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC). Dr. Slavin graduated from medical school in Baku, Azerbaijan in the Soviet Union and completed his neurosurgery residency in Moscow. He then completed his second neurosurgery residency at UIC and a fellowship in functional and stereotactic neurosurgery at Oregon Health Sciences University in Portland, OR. Dr. Slavin is current President of the World Society for Stereotactic and Functional Neurosurgery and the Past President of the American Society for Stereotactic and Functional Neurosurgery. He is also the President-Elect of the International Neuromodulation Society (INS) and past Secretary of the North American Neuromodulation Society (NANS). For many years, he was an Executive Committee member of the Joint Section on Pain of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons and Congress of Neurological Surgeons. Dr. Slavin is published in many books and peer-reviewed journals and is an associate editor or editorial board member for a number of publications, including Neuromodulation, Neurosurgery, Brain Sciences, Stereotactic and Functional Neurosurgery, Acta Neurochirurgica and others; he is the current editor-in-chief of Progress in Neurological Surgery. His first book on Peripheral Nerve Stimulation was published in 2011; another book, co-edited with Sam Eljamel on Neurostimulation: Practice and Principles, came out in 2013; the third one, Stimulation of Peripheral Nervous System: The Neuromodulation Frontier was released in 2015. The most recent book on Neuromodulation for Facial Pain came out in 2021.
