Dr. Alexandre Daniel received his DVM from São Paulo University/Brazil, in 2005 and completed a 2 year residence program in small animal medicine and surgery at Veterinary teaching hospital, São Paulo University, in 2007. He obtained a master degree at the same institution in 2009. He is diplomate of American Board of Veterinary Practitioners (ABVP), specialist in feline practice , and serves on the Cat Friendly Practice committee - American Association of Feline Practitioners - and on ABVP, as the chair of feline specialty exam. He is member of the Academy of Feline Practitioners - International Society of Feline Medicine, owner of a feline only practice in Brazil and consultant at VIN (Veterinary Information Network - feline internal medicine).

Dr. Filipe Dantas-Torres is a veterinarian and a public health researcher at Instituto Aggeu Magalhães (Fiocruz) in Recife, Brazil. He is a Veterinary Specialist in Parasitology and holds a Master degree in Public Health, a PhD in Public Health, and a PhD in Animal Health and Zoonoses. He is the Chair of the Tropical Council for Companion Animal Parasites (TroCCAP) and Editor-in-Chief of Parasites and Vectors. He is also in the Executive Committee the World Association for the Advancement of Veterinary Parasitology (WAAVP). His main research interests include leishmaniasis, heartworm and other vector-borne diseases.

Dr Kurt De Cramer was born in Belgium, in 1962, where he attended primary school. His family later immigrated to South Africa where he completed high school and qualified as a veterinarian at the Faculty of Veterinary Science, Onderstepoort, University of Pretoria, in 1986. He started his veterinary career at a research Laboratory and and later (1992) co-founded the Rant-en-Dal Animal Hospital. In furthering his studies he obtained his Master’s degree MMedVet (Gyn) (theriogenologist) and much later completed his PhD study with caesarean section as theme. He remains in full time private practice focussing on running a busy 8-man small animal practice and reproduction cases. His interests are dog and cat breeding, neonatology and infectious diseases. He remains in close contact with his Alma Mater through collaboration in research projects, education, CE and tries to review and publish also. He actively participates in education to breeders and pet owners on various platforms and collaborates with dog and cat breeder associations. His inquisitive mind compels him to continue making a contribution to the science of dog breeding; constantly researching and solving clinical problems that breeders experience. He has published 2 books on dog breeding.

Dr. Autran de Morais is a graduate of the Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul in Brazil. He obtained his PhD from Ohio State University, where he also did residencies Internal Medicine and Cardiology. He is a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine in the specialties of Small Animal Internal Medicine and Cardiology. Currently Dr. Autran de Morais is a Professor of Veterinary Clinical Sciences and Director of the Veterinary Teaching Hospital at Oregon State University. Dr. Autran de Morais has lecture extensively in Africa, Asia, Europe, North, and South America. He has more than 200 publications including more than 80 book chapters. He was the Invited Editor of 2 issues (in 2008 and 2017) of the Veterinary Clinics of North America in Advances of Fluid and Electrolyte Therapy. His main areas of interest include fluid therapy, respiratory medicine, infectious diseases, and gerontology.

He graduated from Hokkaido University in Japan with a Master’s Degree in Marine Life Sciences and a PhD in Environmental Science Development. His work experience spans government, academia, and international organizations. He has been involved in the management of international developmental projects in Latin America, Asia and Africa. Devon’s research and publications are multidisciplinary in nature covering topics of Resilience, Sustainability, One Health, Socioecological Production Landscapes and Seascapes (SEPLS), and Human-Nature Interaction.
