Jolle Kirpensteijn graduated from the Utrecht University Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Holland in 1988 and finished an internship in small animal medicine and surgery at the University of Georgia in the United States of America in 1989. After his internship, he completed his residency training in small animal surgery and a master’s degree at Kansas State University, USA. The residency was followed by a fellowship in surgical oncology at the Colorado State University Comparative Oncology Unit, USA. In 1993, Jolle returned to Europe to accept a position in surgical oncology and soft tissue surgery at Utrecht University. In February of 2005, he was appointed Professor in Surgery at the University of Copenhagen and in August 2008 Professor in Soft Tissue Surgery at Utrecht University. Jolle is a Diplomate of the American and European College of Veterinary Surgeons. Jolle received the title Founding Fellow in Surgical Oncology (2012) and Minimally Invasive Surgery (Small Animal Soft Tissue) (2017) of the American College of Veterinary Surgeons (ACVS). In September 2013, Jolle accepted the Chief Professional Relation Officer position at Hills Pet Nutrition in the USA. Here, he played an integral role as the interface between the company and the profession at large. In 2018, he was promoted to the Chief Professional Veterinary Officer position in the US, where he leads all professional activities in the United States. Jolle has published over 120 peer-reviewed articles, given more than 250 lectures worldwide and has received the prestigious BSAVA Simon Award in 2007, Hills Voorjaarsdagen Excellence in Healthcare Award in 2009, WSAVA President’s Award and honorary membership to the Netherlands Association of Companion Animal Medicine (NACAM) in 2017. His main clinical and research interests are professional social media and digital innovations, surgical oncology, and endoscopic & reconstructive surgery.

Sibylle KNEISSL graduated from the Vetmeduni Vienna as a veterinarian in 1992. Subsequently, she was trained in Anatomy, Oncology and Diagnostic Imaging and served as Assistant Professor at Diagnostic Imaging, Vienna. In 2008 she was appointed as a Professor for Diagnostic Imaging. Since 2011 she has served as an Oberarzt (senior clinician) in the division Diagnostic Imaging and since 2014 as the radiation protection officer of Vetmeduni Vienna. From 2017 to 2021 Prof. Kneissl was appointed as Vice-Rector for Study Affairs. Since 2018 she has been studying for the Master of Medical Education at Dundee, U.K. Prof. Kneissl has investigated clinically relevant applications for small and large animals in CT and MRI. She is an author of over 75 articles in peer reviewed scientific journals, 2 tutorials on CD ROM and contributed to five scientific books. Additionally, she received seven scientific awards and is a reviewer for several scientific journals. In 2022 she became Chief Speciality Editor at Frontiers for Veterinary Imaging.

Dr. Juanjo Krauss graduated from Universidad de Buenos Aires in 1990. He is a pioneer in Latin American Veterinary Dentistry. He has been working exclusively in this field for over 30 years. He is a Postgraduate Professor at the Universidad Católica de Salta in Argentina. He is the Director of the Buenos Aires Veterinary Dental Clinic and has created the Argentine Odontological Campaign to make the specialization known among veterinary professionals. He is an international lecturer and the author of several scientific articles for veterinarians as well as mass dissemination articles for pet owners. At present he is a member of the WSAVA Global Dental Committee.

Dr. Michelle Kutzler graduated from Washington State University in 1993 and worked in private practice in Minnesota for four years. Then she went to Cornell University to pursue a theriogenology residency and a PhD in Physiology. While at Cornell, Dr. Kutzler began her research using deslorelin (a GnRH agonist) to control cyclicity in dogs. Since 2002, Dr. Kutzler has been on the faculty at Oregon State University in Corvallis, Oregon. Dr. Kutzler is also an Associate Veterinarian at West Hills Animal Hospital, where she sees canine patients for breeding management, artificial insemination, pregnancy diagnosis, cesarean section, semen collection for evaluation and/or shipping/cryopreservation, and performs both non surgical and surgical alternatives to spay/neuter. Dr. Kutzler has published widely in the area of small animal theriogenology with over 80 peer reviewed publications. For the last decade, she has been researching the disease mechanisms for the long term health problems associated with traditional spay/neuter. Dr. Kutzler is member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and serves on its Welfare Committee. She is also a member of the Society for Theriogenology and the American College of Theriogenology. In Addition, Dr. Kutzler is on the Scientific Advisory Committee for the Alliance for Contraception in Cats and Dogs and the Chair of Scientific Committee for the 2022 International Symposium on Canine and Feline Reproduction. Outside of work, Dr. Kutzler is an American Kennel Club (AKC) Judge and AKC Breeder of Merit with her Dachshunds. Dr. Kutzler and her husband (Sean) of 25 years have 3 amazing children, including one who is will be graduating from veterinary school in 2022.
