Anouk Baghus graduated from medical school at Maastricht University in 2015. She combines her residency in Family Medicine with a PhD research project on training Shared Decision Making in postgraduate medical training.

I am a Physician Associate working in the Emergency Department at Poole Hospital, University Hospitals Dorset in England. Alongside my clinical work, I teach Physician Associate studies at Bournemouth University, which is now in its 3rd cohort of students.

Claire Bamford is a senior research associate in the Population Health Sciences Institute, Newcastle University. She is a qualitative researcher who has contributed to the development and evaluation of a number of interventions for people living with dementia. These have included interventions to improve diagnostic disclosure; interaction in consultations with old age psychiatrists; recovery from falls; end of life care; the diagnosis and management of Lewy body dementia; and post diagnostic care for people living with dementia. She has a specific interest in exploring and understanding the factors which influence whether and how complex interventions are implemented in trials and routine practice.

Bárbara C. Barbosa has a master degree in Medicine from Universidade da Beira Interior. She is currently undertaking her residency in General and Family Medicine at USF VitaSaurium (Soure Health Center, ACeS Baixo Mondego) as well as a postgraduate degree in Clinical Sexology at the Portuguese Institute of Psychology.

Hieke Barends is a GP trainee and PhD student at Amsterdam UMC. She finished her MD in 2011 and has a background in medical antropology and sociology. Her research project focuses on the long-term (5- year) course of persistent somatic symptoms (PSS)- also known as medically unexplained symptoms. In general practice, patients frequently present with somatic symptoms for which no sufficient somatic explanation is found after adequate history taking, physical examination and additional investigations. When these symptoms persist, they are associated with elevated psychological distress and functional impairment. Knowledge about the long-term course of PSS can help to improve classification and understanding of PSS, to inform patients and guide clinicians.
