He is passionate about the great specialty that is GP, and in particular is very keen to examine how eHealth might help our profession continue to meet the ever increasing demands of modern general practice.

Dr Andrew O’Regan is a General Practitioner in Killarney, Co. Kerry and is Senior Lecturer in General Practice in the University of Limerick School of Medicine. Dr O’Regan is passionate about conducting research that will positively impact on the lives of patients. Accordingly, he has a strong interest in the area of chronic disease prevention and management, specifically, in how physical activity can be promoted in order to prevent and delay onset of these conditions. Multi-morbidity and chronic illnesses constitute an enormous amount of the work of general practice, and Dr O'Regan's research focuses on how to engage with patients to promote physical activity and help communities overcome barriers to becoming more physically active and less sedentary. He is currently in the final year of a PhD on this topic. Furthermore, he lectures medical students in the School of Medicine's longitudinal integrated clerkship and is active in medical education research.

Bárbara Oliván-Bláquez is professor at the University of Zaragoza, at the Psychology and Sociology Department since September 2011 (knowledge area: social psychology). She earned a degree in occupational therapy and physiotherapy at the University of Zaragoza, and a degree in psychology at the National Distance University (Madrid, Spain). She received her PhD from the Medicine Department of the University of Zaragoza. She has participated in several research projects funded by national and international grants and belongs to the National Research Network in Primary Care (RedIAPP). One of her main areas of research is health determinants and lifestyle modification. She has published more than 50 articles in peer-reviewed journals, 35 of them in first and second quartile journals.

Dorien Oostra works at the department of Geriatric Medicine as a PhD candidate. She obtained her master’s degree in Nutrition & Health Science from Wageningen University in 2018. During her masters she specialized in epidemiology and public health and studied the effectiveness of eHealth tools as an addition to regular care. She is currently working on her PhD project focusing on a long-term evaluation of network-based primary care for people with dementia, supervised by Radboudumc Alzheimer center Nijmegen. By combining longitudinal qualitative and quantitative data the DementiaNet study aims to evaluate self-organization, sustainability, and effectiveness of network-based primary care for people with dementia, their informal caregivers, and healthcare professionals.

Sajar Othman is a Professor of Family Medicine at the University of Malaya in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. She chairs the Violence Intervention Committee of the University Malaya Medical Centre. Her research interest is on interpersonal violence in particular family violence, health behaviour and wellbeing; mastering in qualitative research and interventional research. Her PhD topic focused on the management of domestic violence in primary care settings using the Grounded Theory. She is the principal investigator for one of the five subprograms of the Prevent Elder Abuse Initiative (PEACE) under University of Malaya Grand Challenge Programme. She is one of the steering committee members and a regional representative for the World Family Doctor Association (WONCA) special interest group in family violence. Heading a team of multidisciplinary researchers, UNICEF appointed her to explore and report on children’s rights in Sabah. She is active in advocating against family violence. She is part of the expert panel for the preparation of Elder Abuse and Neglect Act, clinical management for domestic violence and elder abuse in the Malaysian health system. Apart from providing primary care services, as a certified clinical hypnosis practitioner and EMDR, she manages victims of family violence in her clinic.

Dr. Linda Overholser is a General Internist at the University of Colorado School of Medicine, and the Medical Director of the TACTIC (Thriving After Cancer Treatment is Complete) Clinic for adult survivors of childhood cancer at University of Colorado Health. She is also the University of Colorado Cancer Center representative to the NCCN (National Comprehensive Cancer Network) Cancer Survivorship Guidelines Panel, where she is also leading the Subsequent Primary Neoplasm subcommittee. Her clinical and research interests are in primary care for individuals with a history of cancer, how to best coordinate that care with Oncology and other specialist providers, and in community engagement for cancer survivorship research.

Then I started to work as a research assistant at Dokuz Eylül University, Department of Family Medicine. About 3 months ago, I graduated from Dokuz Eylül University Family Medicine Department and I am still working here.
