Dr. Galièi is a Full Professor of Cardiology at the Department of Experimental, Diagnostic and Specialty Medicine (DIMES) of the UNIBO. He is also Director of the Postgraduate Specialization School of Cardiology at the DIMES-UNIBO and Director of the International Master Degree in Pulmonary Vascular Diseases of the DIMES-UNIBO. He is Head of the Cardiology Unit at the Cardio-Thoracic-Vascular Department at the Bologna Sant’Orsola University Hospital. Dr. Galiè is Scholar of the Italian Society of Cardiology, Honorary Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians – UK, Honorary Member of the Polish Cardiac Society, Honorary Member of The Turkish Society of Cardiology, Honorary member of The Romanian Pulmonology Society, and Fellow of the European Society of Cardiology. He has been Chairperson of the Task Forces for the Practice Guidelines 2004, 2009, and 2015 on Pulmonary Hypertension of the European Society of Cardiology and of the European Respiratory Society.

Dr. Jeremy Grossman, MD is currently a resident physician in Internal medicine-Pediatrics at Stony Brook University Hospital. He is a graduate of the Sackler School of Medicine at Tel Aviv University, where he established “The Homeless Project: Tel Aviv”. He has a Bachelors in Psychology and a Bachelors in Biology from University of California, Irvine. His most recently published paper is titled “Factors associated with high rates of non-adherence in diabetics treated with continuous subcutaneous insulin infusion: a population-base case-cohort study.” His current research is investigating the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on the incidence of ventilator associated pneumonias as well as pediatric asthma admission and antibiotic usage trends. He plans to enter the field of pulmonary and critical care medicine.
