Silvia Sánchez-Ramón is head of department and an associate professor of immunology at Madrid Hospital Universitario Clínico San Carlos, where she was also a clinical consultant immunologist until 2021. Dr. Sánchez-Ramón also teaches as an associate professor of immunology at the Department of Immunology, ENT and Ophthalmology at Complutense University of Madrid, where she completed her PhD in immunological and viral markers of paediatric neuroAIDS in 2001. Her research works specialise in clinical immunology, primary and secondary immunodeficiencies, neuroimmunology and reproductive immunology, as well as the identification and exploration of potential therapeutic biomarkers in immune disorders.
