Early OA has become a challenging indication for cartilage treatment. The classification, understanding of pathology, and limitations of therapy will be described, and with that new treatment options discussed.

The new possibilities of AI in analyzing big data, including imaging, have opened a wide field of application of digitized analysis. Algorithms like deep neural networks help to find patterns of diseases of the musculoskeletal system and/or are supportive in analyzing measurements for diagnostics reasons in imaging.
Session Learning Objective
- Participants understand the application of machine learning and deep learning in AI applied in imaging modalities. The integration of AI in the daily routine will be a prerequisite for the further usability of digitized modalities.
