Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist and Assistant Professor
Dr. Rangsun Sitthichai MD specializes in adult and child psychiatry. He has an academic appointment as an Assistant Professor in Pediatrics and Psychiatry at the University of Massachusetts. He completed Child and Adolescent Psychiatry fellowship training at Boston Children’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School, and General Psychiatry Residency training at the Saint Louis University School of Medicine. He graduated from medical school and completed Pediatrics training in Thailand (Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok, Thailand). He has clinical experience with a diverse array of patients of different ages, medical, psychiatric conditions, and ethnic and cultural backgrounds. He provides a teaching responsibility and clinical psychopharmacology and psychotherapy supervision for the child psychiatry fellows. He is masterful at integrating different treatment modalities into clinical care. He has tried to integrate psychodynamic aspects of prescribing medication for children and adolescents as he recognizes the importance of understanding psychodynamic concepts when treating difficult or treatment-resistant cases.
