Diagnostic Radiology
Dr Chan completed her medical training in NUS, radiology training in SGH and TTSH, followed by neuroradiology fellowships in Houston, Texas, including the UT MD Anderson Cancer Center, Texas Children, and Houston Methodist Hospitals. As senior faculty of Diagnostic Radiology, SGH, Neuroradiology service, she has been instrumental in clinical translation of novel and cutting-edge neuroimaging techniques to address patient problems. Dr Chan is a Senior Clinician Scientist awardee, PI and collaborator of multiple national grants, and leads a neuroimaging research lab focusing on chronic neurological diseases. She varied research interests, scoping degeneration, oncology, vascular and inflammatory disorders, and domains of the brain, head and neck and spine imaging. She is a Faculty of the Radiology Resident Teaching Programme, and an Examiner at the MMed-FRCR 2B Exams. Dr Chan has held various administrative portfolios in her department, including Directorships of Research, Clinical Service, Neuroradiology subsection, Advanced Imaging Centre, CME, Film Library, and Welfare over the years. She serves on the MOH research accreditation panel & is a reviewer for numerous prestigious journals and funding agencies. She was the Honorary Secretary of the SRS and current Treasurer of its Neuroradiology Subsection, and Programme Chair of the AOCNR SGCR WIRES 2023.
