Lisa Weeth

Metropolitan Animal Specialty Hospital Clinical Nutrition
Lisa Weeth received her veterinary degree from the University of California, Davis, in 2002. After two years in general and emergency practice, she returned to UC Davis in 2004 for a Residency in Clinical Nutrition. She completed her training in 2007 and became a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Nutrition (ACVN) that same year. After completing her residency training Dr. Weeth moved to New Jersey and established the first dedicated Clinical Nutrition Department in a private practice setting at Red Bank Veterinary Hospital, then in 2014 she and her family relocated to the United Kingdom where she started Weeth Nutrition Services, a veterinary referral service that provided nutrition telemedicine to veterinarians and technical support to members of the pet food industry. In August 2016 Dr. Weeth moved with her family back to California and was able to expand her telemedicine service to offer in-person appointments through Metropolitan Animal Specialty Hospital in Los Angeles. In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. Weeth serves on advisory councils for a number of commercial pet food manufacturers; is involved with the WSAVA Global Nutrition Committee; is a consultant for Veterinary Information Network (VIN); and is a regular lecturer at regional, national and international veterinary conferences.
