Carolina Puchi Gómez is a Doctor of Nursing and a Nurse Specialist in Geriatrics from the University of Concepción. She is currently an assistant professor at the Nursing School of the University of Concepción in Chile. She is the director of the Geriatric Nursing Specialization Program at the same university since 2018. In 2010 she founded with a health team the hospital at home program of the regional clinical hospital of the city of Concepción. Since 2015 he has focused on the study of the quality of health care in hospital at home, research that was developed in the context of his doctoral thesis "Indicators to assess comprehensively the quality of health care in hospital at home". She was chosen as influential author of the year and recognized with the "María Figueroa year 2017 Award", for the research work entitled "The comfort theory as a theoretical framework applied to a clinical case of hospital at home". Award granted by the Chilean Nurses Association.
