Mila Pontremoli Salcedo, MD, PhD Dr. Salcedo is currently an Instructor in The Department of Gynecologic Oncology & Reproductive Medicine, The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, Texas, where she is the Director of Training and Education programs for cervical cancer prevention in Mozambique, Texas and other low-resource settings. Dr. Salcedo is the former Director of the Gynecology and Obstetrics Department at the Federal University of Health Sciences Porto Alegre (UFCSPA) and current International Affairs Advisor for Teaching and Research at Santa Casa Hospital in Porto Alegre, Brazil. She serves as a board examiner for the Brazilian National Committee of Obstetrics and Gynecology for board certification and she is a member of the National Committee of the Lower Genital Tract Disease in Brazil. Dr. Salcedo serves also as co-Chair of the Preinvasive Program of the International Gynecologic Cancer Society (IGCS). Her primary research interests are in HPV, cervical and vulvar cancer prevention.
