Session Description:
In this session, the faculty will provide an overview of the burden of disease in children and adolescents during the COVID-19 pandemic. They will explore the clinical trial and real-world data for BNT162b2 in children and adolescents, and discuss the benefits and risks of COVID-19 vaccination in these populations and what impact this has on the wider population.
Session Description:
This educational initiative will explore clinical outcomes of COVID-19 and transmissibility in the pediatric population, the landscape of vaccinating the pediatric population, and the role of mRNA science.
Session Description:
RSV is a highly transmissible seasonal virus which can be responsible, in some cases, for unpredictable but potentially severe outcomes in infants. It is one of the few remaining paediatric infectious diseases which, as yet, has no preventative option for all infants. RSV is the most frequent cause of respiratory disease, which can include bronchiolitis and/or pneumonia, in infants and is a leading cause of hospitalisations, most of which are in otherwise healthy infants born at term. This symposium will include a review of the epidemiology and substantial burden associated with RSV in infants while considering the impact of the COVID global pandemic, as well as the molecular basis of RSV infection. An interactive panel of experts will discuss these topics that impact RSV.
Session Description:
You may already know about the HPV vaccine’s role in preventing cervical cancer, but did you know that each year, over 69,000 men are diagnosed with HPV-related cancers? Vaccinating males between the ages of 9 and 14 is the most effective way to prevent the majority of these cancers. So when you vaccinate your male pediatric patients today, you help protect them against HPV-related cancer and diseases as men! Please join us to hear important information about HPV disease in males and the HPV vaccine.
Session Description:
Join us as experts discuss the changing state of pneumococcal disease in a symposium covering: • Impact of PCVs on pediatric pneumococcal disease in Europe and around the world • Importance of pneumococcal vaccination in high-risk pediatric populations • Changes in pneumococcal disease following a global pandemic
Session Description:
The agenda will focus on what we can learn from meningococcal epidemiology and the importance of MenB breadth of coverage and fHbp in protecting against meningococcal disease. The agenda will also include emerging data for the MenB-fHbp vaccine and discuss next steps for controlling meningococcal disease.
