Sara Comstock (Germany)

Sara Comstock grew up in rural Iowa in the United States but recently moved to Rheinbach, Germany with her husband and 4 children, ages 2, 8, 10, and 12. Before moving to Germany Sara was the Director of Clinical Interventions for the national HPV VACs (Vaccinate Adolescents against Cancers) initiative at the American Cancer Society. While at the American Cancer Society Sara helped lead expansion of VACs quality improvement interventions with Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) to integrated delivery systems and recently to health plans. The partnerships with over 70 health systems reached over half a million adolescents. In addition to her role with VACs, Sara served on the Integrated Delivery System Task Group of the National HPV Vaccination Roundtable. Prior to her role at ACS Sara served as the Director of the Iowa Cancer Consortium, Nebraska Cancer Coalition and Rapids AIDS Project. Sara earned her Bachelor's in Social Work at Pacific Lutheran University and her Master’s of Science in Social Work at the University of Texas in Austin.
