Maura is a Spanish-trained paediatrician with a MSc in Tropical Paediatrics from the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine. She has worked as a pediatrician in different countries in Africa and Asia. With Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) she worked for over 3 years in the field and she has been supporting the telemedicine system for MSF since 2016. Her other area of interest and expertise is Newborn Care. Currently she is holding the position of Paediatric Advisor for MSF Operational Centre Geneva.
