Claudia Mandato is Associate Professor of Paediatrics in the Department of Medicine, Surgery and Dentistry at the University of Salerno and Head of Paediatric Clinical Nutrition and Paediatric Hepatology programmes at the Azienda Ospedaliera Universitaria “S. Giovanni di Dio e Ruggi d’Aragona” in Salerno. She is also the Paediatrics Residency Programme Director at the University of Salerno. Prof. Mandato has extensive experience in clinical paediatric hepatology and has conducted research in the fields of non alcoholic fatty liver disease, inborn metabolic diseases with prevalent hepatic expression, end-stage liver disease, nutrition and liver disease, and humanisation of paediatric care. She is a member of several national and international scientific societies, including the Italian Society of Paediatrics and the European Society for Paediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition. She is National Coordinator of the Liver, Biliary System and Pancreas area for the Italian Society of Paediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition.
