Jan Damoiseaux (PhD) is medical immunologist and as such involved in diagnostic testing for immune-mediated diseases. His career has started in basic immunology research and evolved, via research in animal models for autoimmune diseases, towards clinical immunology research. The research has predominantly been focussed on immune regulation via cytokines and/or T-lymphocytes, as well as on autoantibody testing. He is an active member of the College of Medical Immunologists (CMI), the European Autoantibody Standardisation Initiative (EASI), and the International Consensus on ANA Patterns (ICAP) working party. He has published more than 300 scientific papers in peer-reviewed journals. Many of these papers were the result of close collaboration with renowned national and international scientists.

Professor Katrien Devreese is professor in Hematology/Coagulation at the Ghent University (Belgium) and head of department Diagnostic Sciences at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences of the Ghent University. She is head of department of Laboratory Medicine at the Ghent University Hospital. Professor Devreese obtained her Medical Degree at the Ghent University in Belgium followed by Specialization in Clinical Pathology/Hematology, and an Academic degree of Doctor in Medical Sciences (Ph.D.) with the thesis “The laboratory diagnosis of the antiphospholipid syndrome” at the Ghent University. She is past-chair (chair 2017-2021) of the Scientific and Standardisation Committee (SSC) on Lupus Anticoagulant/Antiphospholipid Antibodies of the International Society of Thrombosis and Haemostasis (ISTH), following a period as co-chair. She is member of the ISTH Education Training subcommittee. She is executive board member and treasurer of the International Society for Laboratory Hematology and board member of the Belgian Society on Thrombosis and Haemostasis. Her research interests are focused on studies in the diagnostic field of Antiphospholipid Syndrome.

Prof. Andrea Doria is Full Professor of Rheumatology and Head of the Rheumatology Unit, Department of Medicine, Padova University School of Medicine, Italy. He is Director of Postgraduate School on Rheumatology of University of Padua In 2016 he founded the European Lupus Society (SLEuro) and was the first President of the Executive Committee. From 2017 till now he has held the role of SLEuro treasurer. Professor Doria was involved as “expert” in the EUropean League Against Rheumatism (EULAR) Standing Committee for the development of clinical and therapeutic recommendations in SLE. He is a member of the Lupus Academy Steering Committee and and co-chaired some annual meetings: in Rome in 2015, on-line in 2020, and in Florence in 2022. He was the Chair of the 10th European Lupus Meeting, held in Venice (Italy) 5–8 October 2016 and the Chair of the 14th International Congress on Systemic Lupus Erythematosus held in virtual format 6-9 October 2021. He is also one of the chairs of the CORA Congresses, held every two years. Professor Doria has authored over 450 ISI publications. He is Associate Editor of Experimental Biology and Medicine and he participates on the editorial boards of several Rheumatology and Immunology journals.
