Dr. Enrique Campos Nanez is a Principal Engineer at TypeZero – Dexcom, Inc. in Charlottesville, Virginia, USA. He received the B.Sc. degree in mathematics from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM), Mexico, the M.Sc. degree in operations research from Stanford University, Stanford, CA, USA, and the Ph. D. degree in systems and information engineering from the University of Virginia, Charlottesville, VA, USA. Dr. Campos Nanez’s expertise is algorithm engineering with a demonstrated history of working in the medical device industry as well as being skilled in Modeling, Simulation, Pharmacokinetics/Pharmacodynamics, Optimization, Algorithms, and Biosensors with particular focus to the diabetes space. He started his career at George Washington University, as an Assistant Professor, and continued his career as a Director of Modeling and Simulation at the Epsilon Group, then as an Assistant Professor at the University of Virginia, focusing on Computer simulation in diabetes, pertaining patient and care providers education and training; patient centered decision support systems; prediction of clinical impact of medical device errors, and optimal drug delivery strategies. Most recently, he was the Sr. Director of Algorithm Design at TypeZero Technologies, which was then acquired by Dexcom in August, 2018.
