He is currently an associate professor at the Amsterdam University Medical Center and the University of Lund, Sweden. His research group utilizes various neuroimaging techniques (PET: Tau, Aβ, glucose metabolism; MRI: brain atrophy and functional connectivity) to study the Alzheimer’s disease spectrum, with a specific focus on disease heterogeneity and brain resilience. He was awarded the de Leon Prize in Neuroimaging (AAIC, 2017), the European Grand Prix for Research on Alzheimer’s Disease, and the Christopher Clark Award– Continuing advancement in the field of Human Amyloid Imaging (HAI 2020). He has authored 111 publications and recipient of an ERC starting grant. He is an associate editor (Neuroimaging section) for Alzheimer’s Research & Therapy and an editorial board member for the European Journal of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging.
