Professor Liu, is currently director of Neurointensive Care Unit (NICU), Neurology and Stroke Center, She has been engaged in the many clinical trials and basic research on emergency treatment of cerebrovascular diseases and neurointensive care. her research interest is in developing advanced management algorithms for reperfusion therapy, stroke care QI in China and secondary prevention. Collecting data for analyzing large heterogeneous patient data to discover markers of diagnostic and prognostic values in severe stroke. She had demonstrated such deep analysis of routine clinical data can potentially have large and immediate impact on improving patient care. As principle investigator and coordinator, Prof. Liu is responsible for several research projects funded by the National Ministry of Science and Technology, China Natural Science Foundation, Ministry of Education and Beijing Scientific Committee. She involved in the China National Stroke Registry from Phase I to III, CHANCE trial and so many subgroup or parallel studies, which the results referenced by couple of international guidelines.
