Tracy Yan Peng Chan is the current Head of Rehabilitation of the National Stroke Association of Malaysia (NASAM). Ms Chan has over 24 years of experience in numerous physiotherapy roles, and significant previous experience within NASAM as a Rehabilitation Coordinator and Physiotherapist in Charge (Ampang) Ms Chan completed her undergraduate and postgraduate studies in Australia, obtaining her Bachelor of Applied Sciences in Physiotherapy through the University of Sydney, a Graduate Certificate in Orthopaedic Manual Therapy from Curtin University of Technology, Perth, and a Graduate Diploma in Neurological Rehabilitation for the University of Western Australia, Perth. Ms Chan is particularly passionate about continuing medical education and sharing her expertise with fellow healthcare professionals. To this end, she is a frequent participant in scientific congresses and meetings, and has completed several certifications including the LSVT BIG Certificate relating to patients with Parkinson’s Disease. Ms Chan has also delivered lectures on stroke rehabilitation and neurorehabilitation, and facilitated training for those caring for patients with Alzheimer’s Disease, amongst others.
