Quality study design and excellent study execution pave the way for publication. Getting the fundamentals right at the planning stage of research determines later success. In this presentation, Julie will share her top tips for designing, executing and publishing high quality research in stroke recovery and rehabilitation. She will cover a range of study designs to address the research question, including early phase and adaptive designs, the importance of mapping out the project from start to finish before you begin, following best practice standards for study registration, protocol development and publication, study execution and completing the study as planned. Common mistakes in reporting and manuscript preparation, and how to avoid them, will also be highlighted.
