Amalia is graduated and PhD in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Zaragoza (Spain) and a Diplomate from the European College of Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging (DipECVDI). She is currently a Full Professor in the Department of Medicine and Animal Surgery (Diagnostic Imaging) and Head of the Diagnostic Imaging Service of the Veterinary Teaching Hospital of the University of Murcia (Spain). She has done several stayed for her training in Diagnostic Imaging in several centres and Universities in the United Kingdom, in addition to the University of Sydney (Australia). She has been a member of the Board of the ECVDI and Associate Director of the International Veterinary Radiology Association (IVRA). Nowdays she is President of AVEPA (Asociación Veterinaria Española de Especialistas en Pequeños Animales). Editor of the journal “Clínica Veterinaria de Pequeños Animales,” official journal of the AVEPA from 2009-2020. She has presented papers and talks at national and international meetings and seminars. She has published several articles in national and international journals and is the author and co-author of books on radiology and diagnostic imaging in small animals. Her research subjects are mainly ultrasonography in small animals.
