Brief Curriculum Vitae Of Dr. S. Abdul Rahman Retd. Dean, Veterinary College, Bangalore, India Dr. S. Abdul Rahman graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Veterinary Science from Mysore Veterinary College, Bangalore, India and a Masters from University of Madras, India, and PhD in Veterinary Parasitology from University of Queensland, Australia. He is a retired Professor of Veterinary Parasitology and Dean of Bangalore Veterinary College. Currently he is the Executive Director of Commonwealth Veterinary Association(CVA) and Secretary of the Animal Welfare Committee of World Small Animal Veterinary Association(WSAVA) Dr.Rahman was the Council Member of India to the Commonwealth Veterinary Associaton(CVA) and then was elected as Regional Representative of Asia, Secretary and then as President. Dr Rahman has represented India at the World Veterinary Assoication(WVA),Federation of Veterinary Associations of Asia,(FAVA). He is a former Chairman of the World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE) Working Group on Animal Welfare, and a former Member, OIE Ad hoc Group on Stray Dog Control and a Consultant to WSPA. He is currently the International Coordinator of the OIE Rabies Twinning programme between CVA/KVAFSU Rabies Diagnostic Laboratory at Veterinary College, Bangalore and CDC, Atlanta and APAHA .UK
