La Merced Veterinary Specialists Oncology
Graduated from the University of Extremadura in Spain. Since then, I have always worked in small animal practice and have developed an interest in oncology. For ten years, I combined my work in private practice with a position as Assistant Professor at Cardenal Herrera University in Valencia. In 2012 I moved with my family to Columbus, Ohio in the USA, where I worked as a Medical Oncology Resident at the Veterinary Medical Center in the Ohio State University, completing the residency, a Master’s program in Comparative Medicine and passing the ACVIM boards in 2015, becoming a diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine, with the specialty of Oncology. I then returned to Spain where I work in an oncology clinic in Calpe, Alicante. I have published in peer-reviewed journals and several book chapters. I have been invited as speaker in over 12 countries in Europe, Asia and Latin America. Since 2018 I am the Scientific director of the Spanish Small Animal Veterinary Association. I am an Honorary member of the Mexican Association of Veterinary Oncology and the Argentinian Society of Veterinary Oncology.
