Prof. Michal Jank, DVM, PhD graduated in 1999 from the Warsaw University of Life Sciences Faculty of Veterinary Medicine. In his professional career he worked at Division of Dietetics Department of Physiological Sciences Faculty of Veterinary Medicine Warsaw University of Life Sciences (Poland), at Veterinary Institute at Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Sciences PoznaƄ University of Life Sciences and currently at Division of Pharmacology and Toxicology Faculty of Veterinary Medicine Warsaw University of Life Sciences (Poland). He teaches animal pharmacology and animal dietetics to veterinary medicine students and post-graduates. He is the author and co-author of many articles in the field of animal physiology, dietetics and nutrition. In his scientific work he is focused on the use of functional genomic tools in the evaluation of the effect of different biologically active substances on the animal growth and development as well as in other fields of veterinary medicine. He is also investigating the role of selected nutrients and additive on dogs and cats health and welfare. He developed several nutritional products and supplements offered on veterinary and pet market in Poland and several other countries.
