Natalie Lloyd, New Zealand

N/A N/A
Natalie Lloyd graduated from Massey University in 1995. Since then she has worked as a companion animal GP vet (mostly) in New Zealand. Natalie owned Tasman St Vet Centre, a small boutique clinic in inner city Wellington for 13 years with her husband David. The clinic had a strong focus on best practice medicine, preventative care and wellness programmes, and was the first clinic in Wellington to achieve “Cat Friendly Clinic” Status. Natalie has a passion for providing excellent care for all pets but particularly senior cats and dogs, and saw the importance in developing senior plans that worked not only for each pet, but also the guardians who provide their care. In 2016 Natalie joined the Executive Committee for the Companion Animal Veterinarian (CAV) Branch of the NZVA where she is now President. This role allows her now to shift some of her focus on wellness and preventative care for animals to veterinarians themselves . She left clinical practice in 2018 after selling her clinic and has since been working as a Companion Animal Veterinary Advisor for Zoetis. Natalie still lives in Wellington with her husband and 2 children, a “ recently turned senior” Viszla called Jasper and two naughty Burmese kittens -Heist and Hazel.
