Dr. Brook Niemiec is a 1994 graduate of the University of California, Davis School of Veterinary Medicine. He is a Board Certified specialist in Veterinary Dentistry as well as a Fellow in the Academy of Veterinary Dentistry. He also currently serves as president of the AVD and is recognized internationally as one of the leading authorities in Veterinary Dentistry. Dr. Niemiec is the Chief of Staff of Southern California Veterinary Dental Specialties, with practices in San Diego, Irvine, Ontario, and Murrieta California as well as Las Vegas, Nevada. His primary practice, located in central San Diego, opened this February as part of the International Center for the Advancement of Veterinary Dentistry. This center provides state of the art dental care for all animal patients, as well as worldwide dental training, publishing, and teleradiology. An advocate for improved understanding, prevention and treatment of disease, Dr. Niemiec lectures extensively at local, national, and international meetings, and has presented in over 25 countries. He is thrilled to return to WSAVA where he has lectured twice previously. Dr. Niemiec is also the director of the San Diego Veterinary Dental Training Center.
