Since 2003, Anette Grønning has worked with digital communication in different domains (public, private and commercial), in particular with email, text messaging and chat interactions. She is head of two interdisciplinary research groups within Humanities and Health Science: “Digital consultation” and “Digital Health”, SDU as well as director of the “Research Group in Networked Media in Society” (NeMis), Media Studies, SDU. Anette Grønning has published a range of interdisciplinary research articles and book chapters within Humanities and Health Science, including analyses of digital content created by patients and general practitioners, relations between health professionals and patients, analysis of the digital body, self governing technology, email as patient narratives (Narrative Medicine), etc. She is an expert in qualitative methods with extensive experience in conducting interviews and observation. Furthermore, Anette Grønning regularly takes part in the public debate about the Danish healthcare system. Anette Grønning has published 99 articles.
