Anna is a PhD candidate in FHML, CAPHRI Institute at Maastricht University. She graduated as a Master of Public Health (minor International Health) from Tampere University in 2014. She has also a BA in Economics from the University of Piraeus in Greece and she has a Certificate of Mental Health studies from a joint post-graduate program at the Faculties of Psychiatry of King’s College (UK) and Athens University (Greece). Currently she is a PhD candidate at FHML, CAPHRI Institute, Maastricht University. She has research background in cost-accounting with the Athens University of Economics and Business and a considerable managerial experience deriving from long tenure in municipal social and health services and national and international project management. Her seminal scoping review aims to address a gap in the literature related to exploring the facilitators and barriers that emerged from a worldwide experience in building PBRNs. Anna has developed a unique and extensive qualitative database of more than 100 PBRNs from various countries and connection with more than 60 PBRN leaders from all over the world and has the aspiration to promote the development of PBRNs in primary healthcare through WONCA.
