Dr James Pollard MBBS FRACP Clinical Director Community Care and Infectious Diseases Physician – Cabrini Health, Melbourne, Australia. James is an Infectious Diseases Physician and has been Clinical Director Community Care at Cabrini Health since April 2019. Cabrini has a large suite of community care services, including acute and post-acute care provided via Cabrini Hospital in the Home and chronic disease management. Cabrini’s Hospital in the Home service is one of the largest private-hospital providers of HITH in Australia and has been active for over 15 years, and provides care for a wide range of acute conditions including short and long term intravenous antibiotics, post-surgical care, complex wounds and chemotherapy amongst other episodes of hospital inpatient-substitution type care. James has other interests in decentralised healthcare, OPAT, HIV medicine and infective hepatitis. James has been a member of the HITH Society of Australasia Executive Council since 2013, and President of the HITH Society of Australasia since November 2019.
