Medical assistance for psychosomatic diseases includes psychopharmacotherapy and psychotherapeutic interventions. Drug treatment of psychosomatic disorders associated with other diseases requires a strictly personalized approach.

When we develop a plan for psychopharmacotherapy, it is necessary to take into account clinical indications based on the syndromic and clinical assessment of psychosomatic disorders, as well as an assessment of the patient's somatic status. The possibility of an adverse effect of psychotropic drugs on the functions of internal organs is taken into account. It is also necessary to assess the risk of unwanted drug interactions with drugs prescribed for the treatment of other diseases. features of the therapy of psychosomatic disorders require knowledge in the field of pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics.
