Abstract

Abstract Body

Major-neurocognitive disorders can present a challenge to clinicians both from a diagnostic point of view and in its management. The many variations in its presentations but also aetiology necessitate a robust understanding of such conditions to ensure the best evidence-based care.

While there are diagnostic criteria, many patients have symptoms that are hard to categorize and Lewy body dementia poses a particular challenge given the overlap of symptoms with a number of conditions. Management is uniquely a challenge due to sensitivity to treatments commonly used.

With Our rapidly aging population, COVID and the rising cost of investigations, there are key clinical symptoms one needs to be aware. This presentation aims to cover issues as an update on Lewy body dementia
