Session Description
Abstract: Even if the fatality rate has been twice higher for men than for women, the Covid-19 pandemic has affected women more than men, both as frontline workers, as patients, and at home. We will successively discuss specific psychological and psychiatric risks faced by women both as patients and as workers in the health sector (Prof Thibaut, France) ; gender differences in reaction to COVID 19 in people with autism (Prof. Patricia van Wijngaarden - Cremers, The Netherlands) and ; finally we will provide some examples of national responses in Africa and the Middle East (Prof. ElNahas Egypt).
