The variation in the epidemiology of ADHD varies across the nationalities and culture. The treatment varies too. The speakers would like to highlight the difference in the diagnosis and management strategies. The clinical diagnosis made by psychiatrist is based on the classification system, the hesitancy in using the classification system in LMIC leads to poor outcome and social and economic challenges I the LMIC countries. The gap is increasing with each passing decade. The expectation after the rise in the diagnosis of ADHD was that it will improve the quality of life and lead to good adjustment when children reach adulthood, however psychiatrists are still facing challenges. The speaker would be highlighting the challenge’s and putting forwards the solutions for Policy implementation and change in the strategies.
