Main areas of expertise on respiratory research are acute respiratory failure and interventional pulmonology with particular interest on the endoscopic approach of tracheal diseases and airway tissue regeneration with stem cells. Founder of the integrated multidisciplinary team on surgical and endoscopic approach to tracheal diseases. He is reviewer, editorial board member and associate/academic editor of several international journals and has published extensively in the field of pulmonary medicine and interventional pulmonology.
