Significant improvements in clinical care have occured since the turn of the century in providing high quality nutritional care to paediatric patients in critical care and other challenging conditions, as demonstrated by recent research. This symposium will address the evidence concerning enteral nutritional management of paediatric patients in the critical care setting and differing disease states, with a particular reference to clinical guidelines.
