Physician-scientist specializing in bone marrow failure (BMF) and pediatric myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS). My research is on the genetics and biology of BMF and MDS predisposition syndromes. Current focus lies in the mechanistic elucidation of SAMD9/SAMD9L disorders and associated genetic rescue events. Born in Poland, completed medical school in Berlin, Germany (2008 MD and 2009 PhD degrees from Charite Medical School, Berlin, Germany). 2009-2017: Residency in Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine, and Fellowship in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology, University of Freiburg, Germany Since 2018: Assistant Faculty (Professor) in Dept. of Hematology, St. Jude Children's Hospital, Memphis, and Director of the St. Jude Bone Marrow Failure Program
