Biography:
Polino Giuseppina obtained the M.Sc. in Electronic Engineering from the University of Rome “Tor Vergata” in 2011 and the European PhD in Telecommunications and Microelectronic Engineering (cum laude) in 2015. In the year 2014, she spent a period as Visiting Researcher at Holst Centre, High Tech Campus, Eindhoven (The Netherland). In 2016 she joined the Neuroscience and Brain Technologies (NBT) department at Italian Institute of Technology, Genoa, Italy, carrying out the hardware and software development of spatial light modulator for the illumination of neural networks by patterns of arbitrary space-time complexity. In 2017 she joined the Tissue Electronics group, Center for Advanced Biomaterials for Healthcare (CABHC), Italian Institute of Technology, Naples, Italy working on photovoltaic biomaterials development for skin regeneration and neuromorphic devices. From December 2018 she joined as Senior research fellow the Dep.of Electronic Engineering in Tor Vergata, working on a project for Wearable Applications enabled by electronic Systems on Paper (WASP) ( H2020-ICT-2018-2). Her main research interests involve the organic electronics, bioelectronics and nanotechnology with special attention to integrated systems for wearable and implantable electronics. During her research career, she takes part of important scientific activity of several projects, European and extra- European, thus implying many collaborations abroad also with Industrial partners. She served Editorial Board of Crystal MDPI (2020) and Frontiers in Nanotechnology as Guest Editor (2020). She is reviewer for PLOS One (2017), Solar Energy-Elsevier (2016) and Applied Science MDPI (2019).
