Dr. Getman received his bachelor’s degree in Clinical Laboratory Science at Humboldt State University, followed by a Ph.D. in Pharmacology and Toxicology from the University of California, Davis and postdoctoral fellowship training at UC San Diego and the Salk Institute. He joined Hologic Research and Development in 1999 and has been involved with developing the Aptima family of diagnostic tests. He is now Director of Medical and Scientific Affairs for Women’s Health Diagnostics at Hologic.
