M. Shiels

National Cancer Institute Division of Cancer Epidemiology and Genetics
Dr. Meredith Shiels is a senior investigator in the Infections and Immunoepidemiology Branch in the Division of Cancer Epidemiology and Genetics at the National Cancer Institute. She received her MHS (2006) and her PhD (2009) in cancer epidemiology from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, and completed her post-doctoral fellowship at the National Cancer Institute. Dr. Shiels uses innovative approaches to confront high-impact public health questions with population-based data resources and descriptive analyses. One of her main areas of interest is the risk of cancer among people living with HIV in the United States.
