Dr Rachael Dodd (PhD, MSc, BSc(Hons) is a Senior Research Fellow at The University of Sydney. Dr Dodd trained in Health Psychology and is a behavioural scientist with expertise in healthcare communication across a range of cancer types. Rachael is currently upskilling in Implementation Science and translating evidence into real-world settings. Rachael’s research to date has focussed on improving health communications across a range of cancer types and screening programs, including breast, head and neck cancer, cervical and lung cancer, resulting in over 50 publications. Dr Dodd’s current research is a) looking into communicating key concepts of HPV and cervical cancer in the context of providing reassurance and information about the renewed National Cervical Screening Program in Australia; b) investigating the feasibility and acceptability of implementing a Lung Cancer Screening Program in Australia and c) evaluating and implementing an information resource for HPV-related head and neck cancer.
